BLS BORDEAUX BLS BIARRITZ
  • Lessons: 20 French lessons per week
  • Levels: beginner to advanced (see levels)
  • Course begins: Available throughout the year (see dates)
  • Timetable: 9.30 to 12.45 with a 15 minute break, Monday to Friday
    + 3 half day excursions. Please note that this timetable may be subject to change during the high season (June-July-August)
  • Duration: from a minimum of 1 week
  • (to optimise the efficiency of your course, we advise staying for at least two weeks)

Prices vary according to the number of students, the type of meals chosen and the length of the stay: starting at 315€ per person /per week
(for a group of 15 students + 1 supervisor: 20 general French lessons + 3 half-day outings)

Target profile

  • participants from 11 years old, high school pupils and university students
  • minimum of 15 students per group and one accompanying teacher per 15 students (it is quite possible to include teachers of different subjects as accompanying supervisors, depending upon the type of programme envisaged)

Objectives

  • provide the opportunity for students to experience daily life in France
  • help students understand cultural differences
  • get to know the natural and cultural points of interest of Aquitaine

Content

Based on pre-defined criteria provided by accompanying supervisors and BLS staff, a programme of activities in French is devised in order to combine the improvement of linguistic skills and explore the surrounding region. Half a day is set aside in the classroom in order to prepare the afternoon outings and excursions.

Accommodation

With host families carefully selected by BLS:

  • the family collects the student from Bordeaux railway station or airport.
  • 7 nights, with half-board during the week and full-board at weekends
  • bedroom for one or two people.
  • lunches can be provided as either packed lunches or restaurant meals
