Learn French in France with BLS
GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION
AGE
DURATION
- At least 1 week for private tuition and combined courses.
- At least 2 weeks for group courses.
LESSONS
- Each lesson lasts 45 minutes.
GROUPS
- Small groups of 8 to 12 (Bordeaux) / 14 (Biarritz) adults per class
enhancing customised attention and the opportunity for each attendee
to speak as much as possible during the lessons.
LEVELS
- 6 levels from complete beginners to advanced as defined by
the Council of Europe.
STARTING DATES
- General French courses can be started on any Monday, except for
Beginners whose starting dates are fixed. Special courses and examination
courses also begin on fixed dates.

TEACHERS
- All our teachers are qualified to teach French to foreign learners
and have an excellent knowledge of French culture and civilisation.
Many of them have taught French abroad and speak several languages
and therefore relate easily to different cultures. Their enthusiasm
and spontaneity guarantee lively and effective lessons.
TEACHING METHODS
- Our prime objective is to work on practicing language skills
in communicative contexts. To do this we use French as a foreign
language teaching methods for adults that are interactive and
based on real communication. We base our sessions on authentic
materials in order to broaden your knowledge of the
French socio-cultural setting. Our programmes are structured, but
sufficiently flexible to enable you to progress at your own speed
and according to your own needs.

INTERNET ACCESS AND STUDY AREAS
- BLS offers an internet access card at a cost of 20€ for
unlimited use. Learners can also take advantage of their free time
to work on their French in the special study areas.
ECTS CREDITS
- This system consists of European credits that correspond to a
level of proficiency acquired in French. These credits can be negotiated
with your school, university or employer.
CERTIFICATES
- At the end of your stay, BLS gives
you a French language certificate showing the course level you accomplished.
The certificate also indicates the number of ECTS credits you are entitled
to.
