Getting around Biarritz

On foot
Biarritz is very pedestrianised and reasonably compact, so it is easy to get around the town centre, to the beaches, and to the best spots for surfing or shopping. Walking is the best way to enjoy the panoramic views and breathtaking beauty of this coastal paradise.

By bus
There is an excellent bus network, including Bayonne and Anglet, and bus journeys are a flat 1.20 euro payable on the bus. Cheaper multiple journey tickets are also available, but cannot be bought on the bus. The local bus network connects the train station with the town centre and the airport.

By taxi
Taxis are plentiful and are mostly available by phone or at city landmarks and frequently-visited sites
