Français Langue Etrangère (French as a Foreign Language)
BLS Bordeaux has been awarded the “Quality Award for French as a Foreign Language”. It is one of the first French as a Foreign Language Schools in France to receive this accolade for the quality of its teaching, its facilities and its services (management, enrolment, accommodation, etc.).

This Quality Award is a commitment on the part of the French government, via its Education, Higher Education and Research (the Department for Higher Education), Foreign Affairs (the Office for International Cooperation and Development) Ministries and the Office for the French language and the languages of France, who decided to entrust the CIEP (the French International Centre for Educational Research) with the implementation of a quality award system for centres in France and its overseas territories where French is taught as a foreign language.

IALC
BLS is a member of IALC. The IALC quality seal is a trusted symbol in language study abroad. All IALC language schools are regularly inspected and continuously monitored. The IALC Code of Ethics sets the standards for member language schools and the IALC Quality Scheme ensures these standards are not only met, but exceeded.

IALC language schools are independently owned and managed. Each language school reflects the unique character of its location and country and looks after its students with local pride and meticulous attention.

  - appropriate groups made up according to level, following prior evaluation
  - following up on commitments
  - qualified teachers who are specialists in their field
  - premises and facilities specially designed for modern language teaching techniques
  - a learning assessment system
• Offering, upon request, options for accommodation, which have been carefully selected and checked, with clearly stated features: prices, services supplied, terms of booking, cancellation and payment
